• PNWHC formed to give women greater access to information and support on matters concerning their health and well-being

  • Free nurse led cervical screening clinic established for women.

  • Palmerston North Women’s Health Collective Inc. became an incorporated society.

  • Funding to provide health services from the Area Health Board, later transferred to the Central Regional Health Authority and MidCentral District Health Board.

  • The PNWHC received a Commonwealth Award for Excellence in Women’s Health.

  • 2005 Health Award for Excellence

    The PNWHC received the inaugural MidCentral DHB Primary Health Award for Excellence in Addressing Inequalities.

  • 2008 Health Award for Excellence

    The PNWHC received the MidCentral DHB Health Award for Excellence in Addressing Inequalities.

  • September 19th 2018 we relaunched with our gifted Te Reo Māori name added to our existing name to become Te Hā o Hine-ahu-one Palmerston North Women’s Health Collective Inc.

  • With the help of Te Mānawa we ran an incredibly successful art auction which raised $25,000 to keep us ticking over!

  • Retirement of our long serving manager Jean Hera. Jean was with us for 35 years!
